Five Reasons to Punch a Dolphin in the Mouth

I love my axe. A lot.

Well, well, well. What a sunny, steep, mossy day. I have been tumbling around mountains, slipping and sliding through streams, and falling face-first into swamp. On my way up the cutline we were working on today, I came upon a drill site, which was the first time I'd actually seen one in the field. Their locations aren't secret, exactly, but they're kept pretty quiet. A little while after that, the A-Star (the luxury cadillac of helicopters) began slinging loads of drill equipment down the mountain, so that was pretty sweet.

Unfortunately, I'm having a tough time getting along with my tentmates. I don't think it's a problem with dealing with other girls; I'm generally more comfortable with girls than guys anyway. But THESE girls-sheesh. Some of the things that have been happening are pretty innapropriate, or just plain stupid, or both. Maybe I am just being impatient. I spend a lot of time in the cook tent, talking with the wonderful bull cook Sophia and eating cookies. I'll be back in Vic with the world's best recipe for bread pudding, by the way.

Do you feel like listening to club music right now? Check out Chromeo's "Don't Turn the Lights On", it's a work theme song.
