I got the shakes that I just can't shook

So Parksville life as resulted in nothing more than sleeping in to rediculous times and listening to music- all day. But today will be better, I swear. I am going to bike into Parksville, in an hour maybe, and go to the library I think. And the post office. Talk about exciting life, eh? No responsibilities whatsoever puts Mort in a very bad mood. I think I need someone to tell me to do stuff in order to live properly. Or at least goals.

The upside of this week is that my mother bought ginger ice cream to celebrate the fact that I got a job, which I am putting back with my right hand as I type this with my left. Skillssssss.

Bleh. Shoulda kept in touch with the home-town kids.

BUT. I am going out tonight with none other than Olivia Blondal, in the flesh. So it will at least be a good weekend

Listen to me. Whiner/Weiner

Once, We Were Monsters

hey pretty-face.

Sorry, I've been all over BC and Alberta, it feels like, and none of the places had internet stuff (you know, computers?) except for my aunts house and we were there for dinner so it would have been rude to sit there blogging while she danced around in her shark costume (no joke- you two are probably soul mates. She rented this plush shark suit complete with fins to bother her brother in law, my family's messed)

So as I drove from one destination to another I kept getting these great ideas for profound things to write about, and now I am stuck with zilch.

-We almost hit an elk on the Coquihalla... it was hanging out in the middle of the road giving my dad/chauffeur serious stink eye while he was destracted by the other wildlife.

-I counted the sex shops in Calgary, there was something like 6 in the areas that I drove through alone, and one weed related place. I guess the winters are long

- My uncle does this thing that whenever he is making reservations he gives the restaurant a hilarious fake name so that if people he is eating with shows up at different times they have to call him to see what the pseudonym of the night is. This time it was Phillip, not his best.

- There is a houseboat colony in the harbour of Victoria right now. Can you imagine? floating carelessly from port to port. I guess it works better on a lake though

- I agree with the pj/club idea. Why shouldn't you go to a club dressed in your most comfortable. Lets do it

- Also, I will send you some Joe Plastic :) and some other goodies next week.

Love and hugs

not enough constant-tan-nity

I want something nearly constant, but also exciting, scary, "let me be this cute little puppy, because i dont know what the hell im doing" type of thing. Makes sense? I made mint tea earlier, had a shower, and while shaving my legs realized that the real-real-real mint leaves that i used was still just there, sitting in the luke warm water, and i literatly said "fuck" out loud.

I'm getting super excited for yellowknife. I'm also listening to a kumbia king song, and desciding in my head whether it would be accepted or not if i were to show up in a club in my current pj state and just be there hanging out, dancing, and i'm thinking, sure it would be silly, but would it actually be the end of the world?

Righteous drunken fumbling for the royal key

So my dad is outside in the pouring rain, cutting things with gian shearing scissors and putting them on a bonfire that is smoking out. And my brother is inside playing the piano along with some Iron and Wine song, with the dishwasher groaning in the foreground. My mom just closed a door somewhere deep in the house. I should really be out applying for jobs, I haven't left this house in 3 days.

Saturday, May 1, 2010

I just had string cheese, and lamb balls with herbs and nuts(kafta), with a cucumber salad on the side (life is good).

Today was a pretty intense today, got a bottle of orange blossom water as a present, climbed a mountain, ran down it in the snow and pouring rain (remember the scene in the garden state, where at the end, it was hella rainy and they were yelling into nothing? Something like, but yelling our conversation back and forth and, lets not forget, in french.) and then had some beaver tails as a ends day. Quebeeeeec.

So i end billeting tomorrow, time went by fast, ill show you some pictures eventually, i learnt alot about Lebanese food, and got some recipes too. I'm going to miss cedric and line, best people to billet with, and everything went surprisenly super fast.

Im pooped right now, my calves are burning with energy and my bed is wet where my soking wet backpack is sitting.

Tommorow i am back to the shit bed.

Something For Me

Hey so I am home. I just made myself some lovely poridge on a lovely stove with lovely honey and cinnamon. I forgot how beautiful this island is. In fact living in a city definetly makes you appreciate things like dairy farms and lakes a whole lot more. Right now my grass is too l0ng and the flower beds have been overcome almost completely by weeds and wild flowers but man, I can't think of any way that it could be improved. Maybe thats the thing about Victoria. Everything is too neat and tidy, too well established.

Anyhoos. I have so much stuff in my room its incredible. Especially books. I have to go try and throw out a lot of stuff so that other stuff can maybe hopefully fit. Plus I want an orange.
