MILK is delicious, MILK is nutritious

I never for the life of me believed that not having milk in one's house could be such an issue. I mean... we can't even put anything in our tea besides sugar- although they might have honey somewheres. So Shark is house sitting and I am keeping her company- complaining in lovely unison. I am on a laptop that isn't mine, it belongs to a man named "Jim". It has spell check too which kind of bugs me because I can't make up words with the squiggly red line appearing and telling me I am WRONG WRONG WRONG. This is funny: I don't think I have ever written this blog with Shark in the vicinity, even if she is in the shower.
Later on she is going to her impressive bakery job and I may walk into the next town over and wander around. We are going to a tropical themed party at some kid we knows place. I am wearing a cowichan sweater. I didn't get the memo.
The picture I uploaded is the only one on the guest file of this comp. Jim is stranger than the average salmon-doctor.

Ceiling high book shelves and wood. Pure Strong Wood.

Today, was a lazy, yet rushed day. Up until noon, it was nice. Come noon, my dad came in for his lunch time break and then started flipping poo about the fact his uncle (my great uncle) (who has this really cool cabin by lake winnipeg) comming to visit us for the weekend. Turns out he was out here to attempt to see some olympic fun, turns out he had a olympic dinner with the Gordon man. Turns out, he has 10 stories for every hour. I like people like that.

So we cleaned and cleaned and cleaned. My hands permantly red from washing dishes and other things. I then went to marimba band practice. Turns out rob will replace me. *nice?* The plan is for while i'm gone, we will do a skyping ordeal. Me with my new friends, watching band practice. Doesn't that sound nice?

Also, Mortimer i really really like the book shelf picture. I hope my future husband can put up with that building demand.

Hope your having fun with tyson, maddy and zzzzzzzzzzzzoooooooola

Now that your here- i know just what to do. Now that you're here, i'mma going to come, come to you.

  1. I need to find more pictures of russian dolls.
  2. I need to make this bacon, peanut butter cookie recipe
  3. Need to get the shit organized for katimavik
  4. I don't like it when you say to someone "... and that makes me feel sad" and they say back "oh well". That's Mean.
  5. I need to read more.
  6. Mail some more letters
  7. Hike
  8. Explore
  9. Clean my rooom
  10. Make a fort.

I have this terrible habit of writing things that people say down when I think they are funny, to that point that today I was sitting in class surrounded by people I didn't know, and this guy on the other side of the girl next to me said something about running seven victory laps (too lazy to dig out the actual quote) and I giggled softly to myself and whipped out my notebook. So the next time you see me writing furiously in a little brown book, its probably whatever you just said that is being scrawled out. Maybe one day I will write a book composed completely of things other people have said. I will have to make it anonymous in case someone is flipping through and recognizes something they said that made me laugh hysterically. This will end up being that joke from Monty Python that makes everyone die of Extreme Hilarity.

nanananannannananana Fur MAn!

Sure I'll come to the Knox thinger, what day is it?

Thing with Laura is... she isn't coming until Tuesday because she has to dogsit until then, and then she has to leave Thursday so that she can work the weekend. She is a busy little bunny. You know what I have stuck in my head all day everyday? The piano version of Sleephead? Where you can actually hear the words?

Tonight we are supposed to have an 8 oclock dance party to celebrate the fact that E did not expelled for excessive consumption (or something) nice nice very nice. I am also hella busy... anyone know any good Asian religion shrines/temples/spirital places in the Victora area? Maybe I 'll hit up the Chinese graveyard. hmmmmm

My bros friend keeps sitting next to be in Greek and Roman... he is a pretty huge nerd but I am wondering if this is regular behaviour for friends of older siblings. Today I had to choose between sitting next to him or this girl that I am already semi-friends with and he looked all awkward and left in a hurry afterwards. Crazy Shit. Maybe I'm reading into this too much

Over and Out

I'll be comming home to you again

This is like, the 607th time listening to this stephen marley song ( Hey Baby (ft. mos def)..) like as I write this, mos def is talking along, making me internal melt- and not in a sexual way Mortimer, it;s just, a consistant tone, and it's nice. To say the least.

Today, i've been feeling dizzy all day, so i went for a little walk in the morning. Coloured a Envelope to send you a letter in. (maybe i'll send it to you after you leave reading break, or during, so when you come back to your dorm, youll have a letter waiting for you.) I was also reading joy the baker's daily blog, and learnt splashing water at the bottom of the stove at the beggining stages of making it, it makes a crispier crust. Maillard Reaction helps with this too.. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maillard_reaction), but i'm sure youll remember this mortimer- it was basic chem shit. It's like the only thing i remember.

Want to buy tickets for the haiti thing at knox? You should go, ten dollars each. Plus you saved hella loads when you just went along with dah the band last time. I think laura would like it. Plus you're bringing her to saturday night breakfast!! Nice.

Isn't homemade vodka moonshine? What era is this again?

Tell me Shark, why is it that I feel weird accepting compliments? My Bastard-Spawn friend (her term, not mine) just wrote this whole bloggy entry about how I am 'understated' and 'brilliant' and all I could do was tear up. If she had said these things to my face I would have been hella-awkward, maybe would have cracked a sarcastic sex joke. But really, maybe I should return the favour? And slip it under her door? Or is that too Romantic?

Anyways glad you had a happy happy birthday. Maybe people read this blog because it is undersatedly brilliant? :) And Tais-Toi told me about hotboxing certain outbuildings at certain famous jazz musicians' houses. Har.

And yesterday I bled right through my pants and the tights I was wearing under them and somehow didn't notice until like 11 o'clock. Talk about awkward/embarrasing. Hopefully it was at a weird angle that no one else noticed either.

Right now, it's the morning of February the 8Th. 2010. Our numbers went up Mortimer, but prolly because the link to this blog is in the sidebar thingies of my facebook thingy, and went it's someones birthday, things happen.

Last night, after going to Victoria for that marimba, and then coming back around 6, i ate dinner. I was really good, lasagna and carrot cake with overly sweet cream cheese icing. Things like that are just super nice in life. I then got a message from dah mother that Tyson-tais-toi talked to my brother on facebook, and wanted me to talk to him, about hanging out that night.

So i did. And it turned out the Dwyer picked up a Australian hitchhiker from the ferry that day and was staying in their bunkhouse on the side. He was really nice, dreads and nice accent. It was a alright night i guess. Though i was not impressed when i walked in the bunkhouse and they were having a Marley-time party (if ya know what i mean) and literately, the look on my face and in my head was " not impressed" but things passed. The girl with the overally talking thing left and then things slowed down. Tyson gave me a thing of vodka. I had one shot of it in my cranberry juice and was thinking what impressive thing i could do with it. Pasta? You know that vodka pasta, vodka penne or something. But no, on the drive home from Tyson's this morning, with my father, the thought of homemade vodka popped into my head. So MORTIMER, come September this year- we will have a bottle of homemade vodka in the house

Sounds Extremely tight. Top Quality.
SHIT HOMEMADE VANILLA MORTIMER not vodka, jeeze. I stuck like 7 vanilla beans in the bottom, hoping for the best when the time comes.

I would have made you this cake...

So last night I was the official groupie for a marimba band, it's nice to feel like you belong to that kind of thing. They played this game on the way to the gig in the van: they put on one of their own songs and were like "hey is this kumbana marimba? I love these guys! I wish I could get to know them, they seem so cool" and then the drummer would go off about how great the drummer seems etc etc. I got to thinking between loud guffaws, what if really famous people do this on the way to packed stadiums? Does Bono speak about himself in an awed, wide-eyed voice?

My real reason for writing this is directed at you Shark, in regards to the birthday present I gave you last night. I didn't get a chance to write you a card, but everything in that box has significance. Those earrings? Rose made them. Even the beads. I guess you could say this is a high point about her. The hula girl boxers I got at a clothes swap, but they were in the girls section so I don't think they can be counted as used guys undies or anything. And the scarf/belt is my first accomplished knitted item! Hurray. Notice how the stiches get so much neater towards the end? Unfortunately I'm crap at casting off. I believe ther is also tea in that box. It is from Murchies so it should be tasty.

So Happy Birthday! And I love you. Tell Rob to shut the hell up for me. Actually he's pretty nice. Not as big an idiot as I used to think.
