Si Belle

Saw a really good movie last night. It was called "Caramel" and about these Lebanese women who run a beauty salon in Beirut. I guess basically about the rights of women over there. It was kind of eye opening, after all those stories you here about over there, about women who are not allowed to show there faces, not allowed to leave the house without a man. Although there obviously are differences between "here" and "there" the feeling is the same. More traditional parents confused by the liberal attitudes of their teenage daughters. I guess it's the same everywhere.
Kind of weird watching that after the hollywood-ized Twilight (by the way, it wasn't thhhaaat bad, I didn't like the books that much but found myself getting into the movie)
But yeah... you guys should look up the band Terribly Empty Pockets on Myspace! Good stuff made by family members, always a plus.

1-2-3-4-5

So here I am writing this, faced my the busiest friday of my life. A lot has happened since I last wrote, very little of which you will probably find interesting. Except I saw Bashu today! And I think I might end up going to VIU for a couple of years... But I still have no clue what to do with my life. Any suggestions?

It's been kind of weird, people keep making suggestions for guys I should date. As if I'm super desperate for a boy friend/ really need one? Do I really come across as someone in dire need of romantic support? I like being alone way to much to imagine myself spending that much time with any lone person.

Anyways: here is a good song "Mykonos" by Fleet Foxes. Love the harmonies, but too bad I'm too technologically chalanged to figure out how to A. get the song in the first place and B. post it on this blog

Whatever
(notice the name in the picture?)

A bit sleepy, but surviving

Good Morning! How are you all this lovely morning? i do hope super well.

This morning, i took my sweet time getting everything done, so sweet this time was, that nothing got done until around 8 o clock and i usually leave my humble abode around 8.10. This morning, i left at 8.15, with higher stress levels and a lack of biology notes and french note books. But whoooo careesss.

I am now sitting here, beside a friend of mine, helping with her with a PowerPoint presentation, and i want to say, this young lady, as much as i love her with all my heart, she is the retard concerning all things computers.
oh well,
its not the end of the world/I'm just sleepy right now/and wanting my muffin and tea :) /but being in the ballenas computer lab, you arnt allowed anyyyyyyy food whoopidoooooo i eat by the computer doing homework basically every time i do homework.
at home that is.
So! my resolution is, (and this is also concerning Mortimer's suggestion toward winter parties) when i get super rich, super fast, and this will be super great. Ill buy a winter cabin up on the mountains and invite you all to it and just waste a weekend (EATING!) and having WARM BODIES surround you. man i want to eat :@

We could all make pasta, like tortellini (but actually get the boys into it this time) and spaghetti and and and and bread! and carbs galoooor, and if someone else specializes in a different type of food making, by all means, bring your A GAME.

anywho cheerio, and have a good Monday day!

Ah hah! The goodlife!

Way to be mortimer, not telling me about that extravegant voyage in the month of my birth.
Like yourself, i am sitting the in computer libary (during c block though) (and the lab isn't filled with gamers, but with two girls working on re-writting the Wizard of Oz, and watching scenes from the age old film on you tube. woo)

But in other news, did you know that i am going to new york!!
yes!!!

other then that i should really get back to my comparative civilisations project, which is due tommrow D block, by the way, what is the rotation tommrow?

but i really do like the song
human highway- the sound.

Slooow

So here I am sitting in the school library, surrounded by shameless nerds tap-tapping at their Halo games and calling each other morons. I am filling in for Shark because apparently the internet/cable at her house isn't working.

("Game on, you loser")

I'm actually supposed to be making a power point for comparitive civilization regarding ancient moslem art but...

But guess what! I'm going to see Broken Social Scene in feb, playing with Tegan and Sara

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Which also means that I now owe by brother $150+ for the tickets and for some reason he has been paying my cell phone bill for the last couple of months.

Thanks a lot.

So here I am in post-party shock... Let's just say I'm a little suprised at a few people and leave it at that. The cupcakes were good though.
Man this dark foggy bit of weather is getting me down. Anyone else feel like curling into a ball with a jar of nutella?? So this is why there are more parties in the winter! Warm bodies anyone?

" my mans an ocean and i'm a whale"

Last night, i was given the notable great honor of a new band.
My very good friend of mine, i guess to put it that way, Rowan was like " Oh my, listen to THE GRATES, 19 20 20" and im like oh yeah?? and yes, this song was unspeakably awesome.
so yes, listen to 19 20 20.

The band is aussi and the lead singer has a very nice voice that's is good to hear , its not a mans attempted voice giving the world for indie fluff.

But yes, another thing is a video of theirs that caught my eye

The Grates - Burn Bridges

mortimer. watch this video for gods sake and go to the myspace site to listen to 19 20 20, just because rowan was right and it is crazy catchy.

sorry for not calling!

It's Tuesday and the whole bunch of us are not at the local learning establishment. For here it is the remembrance of those who served and those who died while serving.

I Woke up late and then starting reading my emails, because i came home last night from a fun in fun day and just couldn't handle anything, so i hit the hay. but the point was, i was suppose to call a Brazilian and make plans to go and see the parade today and show her some really good Canadian experiences, know what i mean? Now i feel guilty that i didn't call her and argh, ill say sorry tomorrow i guess bright and early.

But as for now,all i want to do is find the energy to make either pita bread or tortilini and enjoy the good life listening to loud music.
But the kitchen is a mess from my mothers meal last night of excellent steak and no one cleaned it up (thanks).

I wanted to write down a song for today, but truthfully i couldn't find anything, except for Shane Mullin or something, but its only this one song that semily impressed me ( his cover of Wake me up before you go, whams.) but the rest of his songs are 90's country radio songs " Nashville w/ a tan"

anyway, enjoy your remembrance day :)

Actually, whoopidoo, you guys should check out

ana serrano, this amazing paper artist.

This is a picture from my back yard that I quite like

BLOOOOGG

The home page of this website says:"Create a Blog, its Free" as if just because its free its everyone's cup of tea. United forever by free stuff.
I was pretty much shamed into writing this blog, because the last thing I wrote was really useless (as if this is any better) I seriously don't know what to write, especially now we have a follower. hi Jesse!
Anyone else hate the new itunes? It definetly slows down the computer. No, it has nothing to do with the fact that its eight years old.
So right now I am making a CD for Jocelyn, who has got to have the reandomest taste on music ever. We'll be sitting in her room, listening to music, and she will seriously go from a rad swedish techno song to some Appalachian Picking Society, and then to Coldplay or something generic. I love it.
Also: does any one know where I can get the song Monster by You Say Party! We say Die! ??
I have it stuck in my head indefinetly

so there it is: a blog
